About this tool

A curriculum map for the IT programme — designed to make the structure of four years of education visible at a glance.

What it shows

Every course in the programme is linked to the year and semester it belongs to, the learning outcomes it contributes to, and the professional competences, Miller levels, and ZelCom levels it addresses. This makes it straightforward to see how individual courses fit into the bigger picture — and to spot gaps or clusters across the curriculum.

Who it is for

Programme coordinators and course owners who want to understand how the curriculum hangs together — whether preparing for an accreditation review, designing a new course, or simply checking whether a learning outcome is covered well across semesters.

The three lenses

Competence

What can a graduate do?

Each course is mapped to one or more professional competences — Analysis, Advise, Design, Realise, and Manage & Control. Together they describe the professional profile of an IT graduate.

Miller

How deep does it go?

Miller's pyramid describes four levels of mastery: Knows, Knows how, Shows how, and Does. Mapping courses to these levels shows whether the curriculum builds toward genuine professional performance or stays at the level of knowledge transfer.

ZelCom

How independent is the student?

ZelCom tracks the growth of professional self-direction — from guided tasks (T1) through to autonomous, complex practice (T4). The heatmap on the home page reveals how this progression is distributed across the four semesters.
